Our Practice - Vocal Recitation of “Namu Myoho Renge Kyo”

Children reciting "Namu Myoho Renge Kyo".

Practice of HBS bases on the vocal recitation of the Odaimoku – “Namu Myoho Renge Kyo”.
Recitation (Chanting) the Odaimoku single mindedly in front of a Namu Myoho Renge Kyo inscribed Gohonzon bestow us the meritorious power of Dharma.
It is our realization through experiences that the accumulation of such merits ensures us manifest evident benefits of Fine Dharma which leads us towards good health in body & mind,
success in careers, stress release & relaxation, better human relationships, and longevity without calamities.

Odaimoku practiced in HBS embeds solution for every suffering and illness that ail the mankind.
Thus chanting of Odaimoku alone shall be sufficient enough for your recovery from sufferings and one does not have to wander for various shrines, temples in search of salvation.

Further it clearly is a “simple practice” in contrast to complex practices found in some traditions.
This simple practice can be easily followed by anyone ranging from a small kid to an aging elder equally.
There shall be no necessity in reciting complex and difficult scriptures. At HBS, priests and the lay members both recite the same Namu Myoho Renge Kyo in unison.

One might doubt it that “Isn’t it too simple for a practice claims to bestow such benefits?”
It can only be verified by a faithful, whole hearted practitioner. Only a practitioner will realize the meritorious power and its scale of benefits.
Therefore we prefer you to practice with faith and observe for yourselves.

Anyway we would like to answer the above question in a step-by-step comprehensive style taking you in a journey through HBS doctrines.
Let us first take a glance at the Lotus Sutra which is an important Buddhist scripture (a preaching of Buddha) in which the marvel of Namu Myoho Renge Kyo is revealed.
